TGAA Victoria
| Summer is well and truly upon us and it wont be long now before we are packing away the rollers and covers for another season. This season has been another testing one for us all with high temperatures and minimal rain over summer. The odd rain event has been welcome and most grounds are holding a touch of colour even if they are unirrigated.
Our fellow members at the test grounds have set the standards pretty high with fantastic pitches rolled out and lush outfields for all of the big events held throughout the summer. This, in turn, has created a lot of unrealistic expectations among the local park cricketers about the condition of their respective grounds. Continue to educate your local club members on the circumstances and the importance of them assisting the groundsmen to produce a ground fit for its purpose.
The committee has been busy working on the Regional Seminar to be held in Colac on 9 March. Central Reserve will be the venue with a great line-up of guest speakers to present. We hope you all can come along and have a great morning of education and a catch up with other fellow curators.

The TGAA committee and members congratulate our president Nathan Tovey in his new role as Grounds Manager at Trinity Grammar. All the best Nathan and we look forward to see you prosper in your new location.
Keep a look out for the upcoming Cricket Wicket Seminar at the MCG on 21 July. This November also marks TGAA Vic’s 21st year, which will be celebrated at the Summer Seminar on 22 November.
Please check out our website to find more about these events and to provide any feedback that you have for the committee. Also, we encourage you to join our Accreditation Program, which recognises members for their hard work and experience in the industry.
