New Polaris Breaks the Ice/font>Light utility vehicles are a groundskeeper’s best friend – for quick oval-hopping to fix a sprinkler, haulage of topdressing to a distant tee…or simply for the odd tour of inspection across vast swathes of land.
Well known for its range of sport, recreational and commercial light vehicles, Polaris has just released its first Light Utility Hauler — the Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) 1500 2x4. This machine combines the advantages of light weight, hefty power and affordability, and serves as either a workhorse or racehorse depending on prevailing need! The ride is comfortable and stable, and numerous standard features mean users do not have to bother with umpteen personalised “extras”.
Equipped with a monster 18-horsepower, v-twin, air-cooled 4-cycle engine, the transmission is a heavy-duty unit with low gearing designed to cope with tough loads over rough terrain.
Payload figures are also impressive — up to 567.5 kgs — and the towing capacity is a practical 454 kgs. Foot-activated, 4-wheel hydraulic disc brakes also provide hands-free stopping power.

Groomed to Perfection/font>David Golf has introduced the DGE Hole Groomer to its extensive range of golf course accessories. The device works by inserting a round blade into the golf cup, then squeezing a handle and rotating 90 degrees.
When the blade is withdrawn, the result is a perfectly groomed cup that will enhance the professional appearance of each green.
According to David Golf, superintendents have reported significant savings in labour on green maintenance as well as extended playing life of their greens. The advantage of using a fast-action groomer is that holes can be manicured even in circumstances where the pins are changed each day.
The cutting blade is manufactured from precision hardened and tempered steel, and there is little wear and tear between the blade and base plate.
Mounting brackets are available to suit Toro, Jacobsen and John Deere greens mowers.
For more information contact David Golf on 1300 790 890.
