Turfmach Launches High Speed Sweeper This month Turfmach Australia is launching its new TTR High Speed Sweeper into the Australian and American market places. The sweeper was exhibited at the Florida Trade Fair in early Febuary, and according to Turfmach, market research has shown there is nothing comparable on today’s market. This revolutionary sweeper runs using a similar principle to the newly developed TTR3 scarifyer, making it extremely efficient, and unlike vacuum systems, it will not block up or become damaged. The sweeper is unique in that it has a timed rotor system, allowing it to create a vacuum airflow that can easily sweep twigs, cores, and even large items in wet weather. The TTR features split front rollers for core harvesting; hydraulic moving floor dump system, high-density nylon strip brooms, and rubber paddled lift rotor. All operating adjustments can be done by hand with no tools required.

Portable Urinal for Golf Courses Watersave Australia has solved the problem of what to do when nature calls on the golf course. The Sydney-based company has developed a new concept in water-free urinals suitable for golf courses. The mobile Uridan water-free urinal consists of urinal bowl and a 50-litre holding tank which can be drained into a sewer when full. Alternatively a free-standing pedestal water-free urinal can be used and connected to a normal sewer line. A stylish walk-in spiral shaped wall provides privacy for the user. The screen is available in a wide range of colours including green to blend in with the environment. The urinal operates without a flushing system, instead using a biodegradable vegetable oil to prevent odours. The urine passes through the oil and out into the sewer or holding tank. The urinal is simply cleaned once a day with an anti-bacterial spray and the oil requires replacements after approximately 6,000 – 7,000 uses. There is also a range of Uridan water-free urinals for use within the golf club. They provide a healthier bathroom environment and will prevent any smell of urine in the men’s toilet.
